We are a team of experienced media enthusiasts, passionate writers, editors, researchers and content creators. We launched Ukusa Afrika Media as an outlet for us to do, for others, what we love doing on a daily basis. We work with organisations of all sizes to help them tell stories in written copy, spoken word and video.

What We Do

Print Media Production
Production of well-researched content for companies and various government entities. We produce newsletters and corporate magazines. We write articles and opinion pieces, produce press statements as well as photography. The print media management team includes three seasoned journalists who have collectively worked as news editors, political editors, sub-editors, layout sub-editors. One of them has edited a mainstream regional newspaper and won several awards.

TV and Video Production
We come up with new and creative content ideas for TV and radio shows, creative ideas for how to present companies’ corporate videos and conceptualisation for documentaries. We also help with fine-tuning ideas into ones that are ready for broadcast. We do production and conceptualisation for TV and web, story boarding, video shoots with highly skilled camera operators, editing and final product delivery.

Website and social media management
We design websites that are attractive, interactive and multi-media friendly. Content production for websites and uploading of content can range from articles, pictures, videos and social media link-backs to entice the reader. We also provide social media management services, a powerful tool to create brand awareness and connect with stakeholders. This team is led by a seasoned journalist and experienced website manager for a six-day newspaper, social media manager in the mainstream media arena and online engagement officer with years of experience in the digital media space.

Content strategy & Research
- We advise your Communications and Public Relations teams on how to pitch story ideas to media houses. We also help with drafting of press statements.
- We provide research services for broadcasters and publishers working on long form television stories, Publishers writing new books and companies looking to venture into new areas but don’t have the necessary information.

Media training
We offer media training services for company executives, spokespersons and learning institutions. The media training includes Media Awareness training and media interviewing skills. The media training team includes an experienced television news presenter and seasoned journalists with experience in print and broadcast media.

Marketing and Media /Stakeholder Relations
We handle media queries, write media releases and produce opinion pieces on behalf of institutions or brands. This also covers reputation management, communications strategy and stakeholder engagement facilitation.
